Pendang- Once again Alor Setar Tower has blasted the district of Pendang with “Menara Alor Setar Idol 2009” which was held at Bukit Mak Inson on 30th May 2009.
The objective of this program is to strengthen the relationship between the Alor Setar Tower staff and the residents of Bukit Mak Inson, Pendang.
The Alor Setar Tower staff was warmly greeted and welcome where the Alor Setar tower staff has organized various events and activities for childrens and adults such as colouring contest, telematch and the highlight of the programme was the karaoke competition which was Pendang district-open where talented participants competing for the qualifying to the finals. This programme also saw a futsal friendly match between Menara Alor Setar F.C Vs Bukit Mak Inson F.C, which was won by Bukit Mak Inson F.C with the result 1-0.
The price giving ceremony was conducted at night, attended by Puan Zaiton Bahari, represents YB Suraya Yaakob (ADUN Sungai Tiang), Encik Nor Azam Ismail
(Vice Chief Youth ,Pendang), Encik Yusni Ismail (Village Chief, Bukit Mak Inson), and Encik Mazlan Bin Mahmud (Genaral Manager of Alor Setar Tower)

The winner of “Menara Alor Setar Idol 2009” district-open was won by Kamilia Razwanis Kamaruddin, and the first runner-up went to Mohd Yusree Abd Halim and the second runner-up went to Solahuddin Ariffin. The Winner and the first runner-up will be eligible to participate in the final which will be held at the Alor Setar Tower on 26th December 2009 where the winner will recieve RM3000 in cash, a trophy and a hamper while the 2nd place winner will recieve a cash price of RM2000 and a hamper and the third place winner will recieve RM1000 in cash and a hamper.
